Favorable business environment inevitably draws local and foreign investments and represents one of the most important prerequisites for the local economic development. At the same time, business burden depends to the high extent on the efficiency and good coordination not only of the City Administration, but of all republic and local public utilities, organizations and institutions, and their readiness to connect, coordinate and make a joint effort to establish the efficient process of interchange of necessary information and documentation.
Believing that with greater efficiency business environment will be improved, costs and risks of doing business in Loznica will be reduced, especially for the small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs, and that the city will be more competitive for the investors, City of Loznica, Republic Geodetic Authority, Electric Power Distribution, and seven other public utilities from Loznica, signed on 25 June the Protocol on Cooperation.
“By signing the Protocol on Cooperation we build the base for the establishment of the one-stop shop for the construction procedures even before the passing of the new law that will make one- stop shop mandatory for all the cities and municipalities. With the introduction of the one- stop shop we will improve the work and speed up the process of obtaining necessary permits in the area of construction, which is especially important not only for the new investments, but also for the reconstruction of the objects destroyed during the catastrophic floods”, said Vidoje Petrovic, the Mayor of the City of Loznica.
Sladjana Karavdic Kocevic, OPTIMUS director, added: “The establishment of the one-stop shop introduces the City of Loznica in the small group of the cities that improved their business environment in this way and took the obligation of gathering the necessary documentation for the clients”.
The signing of the Protocol on Cooperation represents a new step in the reform of the City Administration and other authorities through the improvement of communication, coordination, interchange of information and documentation between the parties who signed the Protocol. Also, with the establishment of the cooperation and ex-officio exchange of documentation, the process of issuing permits, consents, resolutions and approvals is simplified, reducing the waiting time and volume of documentation clients have to personally obtain.
